Cigar Arturo Fuente Don Carlos

There are not many cigar brands using high quality Cameroon wrappers today. It tends to be quite expensive, rough looking and temperamental during the fermentation process.

The brand is named after Carlos Fuente Sr., patriarch of the Fuente family. The Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. factory is the largest family-owned cigar manufacturing company in the premium cigar sector. Fuente Sr. recently turned 80 and the Don Carlos is said to be to his personal taste. The combination of Cameroon and Dominican tobacco has been his trademark since the brand was launched 30 years ago. The Arturo Fuente Don Carlos line currently has nine sizes.

They age for no less than a year and the dark chocolate aroma so prevalent in the aging room certainly emanates from the cold bouquet of each cigar and is repeated in the mouth as well. Refined and delicious, it is also enhanced by a nutty, bittersweet finish.
