Trinidad Cigars
Trinidad is a brand of Cuban cigars classified at the top (viola) of the pyramid of brands according to the company Habanos S.A. which markets it.
The Trinidad cigar brand was created in 1969. It takes the name of one of the three historic cities on the island of Cuba. Like its Cohiba counterpart, it is not intended for marketing and its range includes only one module, called Fundadores (grand panatela).
It then served as a promotional brand, mainly through diplomatic gifts.
It was only in 1997 that the brand was marketed, without losing its brand character above all for diplomatic gifts. Currently, however, it represents only 0.2% of the annual production of Cuban cigars, which explains its low awareness.
