Don Tomás Cigars
For the blending of Don Tomás Nicaragua, master blender Agustin Garcia worked closely with the blending team in Esteli, Nicaragua, and with tobacco producer Pedro Gurdian. Gurdian is an independent tobacco grower and works exclusively for the factories of the Skandinavian Tobacco Group, which owns the brand. He specialises in growing tobacco on virgin soil in the Nicaraguan regions of Jalapa, Condega Pueblo and Esteli.
The tripe tobacco from Pedro Gurdian’s fields is blended with Piloto Cubano from the Dominican Republic and harmoniously bound with a Brazilian leaf from the Arapiraca region. This Arapiraca binder is a very important element as it gives balance to the blend. As a sub-wrapper, we have a leaf grown in the shade of the Jalapa region in Nicaragua.
Don Tomás cigars are very well constructed, regular and offer a flawless burn. In the end, we get a medium strength Nicaragua that will suit most aficionados. The quality/price ratio is excellent.
