Padron Classic Cigars
Padron is one of the smallest factories in the world with its six million parts manufactured per year. It was founded in 1964 by José Orlando Padron and has evolved throughout its history. Today’s Padron classic range includes an assortment of medium to strong personalities cigars. All the tobaccos in this range are of the “habano” type cultivated in Sun Grown in Nicaragua, thus constituting the most beautiful puros of this country.
They all age at least two and a half years before marketing. All modules are offered in a “Natural” version and a “Maduro” version. The “Natural” have very balanced aromas, the essence of tobacco, something unique in Padron. The maduro version offers more sustained, roasted and spicy flavors. They are placed in a very interesting price-performance ratio.
The secret of the Padron style is hidden in the aging of tobacco. They are still waiting for the tobacco to be ready in order to use it in the factory. In addition, in order for them to be aromatic, they use a high proportion of ligero. These old ligero tobaccos are undoubtedly the hallmark of the Padron factory, making them recognizable among all. It is thanks to their patience and their perfectionism that they manage to achieve cigars so rich and so fine at the same time, thus constituting one of the major representatives of the terroir of Nicaragua, despite the smallness of their production.
