The Línea Retro was announced at the end of 2017 by Habanos S.A., and it will be enriched with a third cigar: the H. Upmann Regalías. The latter joins the Romeo y Julieta Club Kings and the Partagás Capitols.
The H. Upmann Regalías has long been in H. Upmann’s catalogue. Its introduction dates back to before 1960. However, before it was rolled according to the “Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga” tradition, it was machine-made until 2002.
Carefully arranged in an aluminium case with a “retro” look, inspired by the original pocket cigar holders so popular in the 1970s, the Regalías are, like the Romeo y Julieta Club Kings and the Partagás Capitols, Petit Coronas of 16.53 mm (42) x 129 mm, a vitola still widely used by Habanos brands. Moreover, when announcing the launch of the Línea Retro, Habanos S.A. stated that this format was “probably the most popular format in Habanos’ history”.
Thanks to Línea Retro, the H. Upmann brand is offering a new packaging for its Regalías, which until now has only been available in boxes of 25 cigars.
