Tony Gomez of La Flor Dominicana has had a successful career in recent years.
After training in the United States and the Dominican Republic, Litto Gomez let the younger Gomez start taking on some projects for the company. It all started with the highly successful Chapter 1, which was followed last year with Capitulo II, two limited edition cigars in the company’s iconic shape. This year, the cigar is neither a limited edition nor a chisel. It’s called “La Nox”, Latin for “The Night”.
The La Flor Dominicana La Nox version is probably best known for its packaging: a black circular box that uses magnets instead of hinges. As for the cigar itself, it’s a 160mm long by 19.68mm diameter Toro Especial with a dark Brazilian wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés wrapper and Dominican tripe from the company’s La Canela farm.
