The history of Ernesto Perez Carrillo cigars
The Perez-Carrillo family has its roots in Cuba. Like many other industry personalities, they come from the Cuban diaspora that took place after Fidel Castro came to power. Having migrated to the United States, they remained in their field of expertise: cigars.
The brand's figurehead is none other than Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, creator of the "La Gloria Cubana" brand in the United States, which enjoyed huge success in the 1990s. This success made the Perez-Carrillo family one of the world's top cigar producers. It tempted one of the world's largest multinationals to acquire the company in 1999.
After ten years of collaboration, in 2009, his children, Lissette and Ernesto III, invited him to return to the family roots of cigar-making, and join them in their Dominican enterprise "La Tabacalera Alianza". Since then, their business has been crowned with success, with blends that could not be more successful!
